We are an “Action Based” all volunteer 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization based in East Tennessee. We are dedicated to Fostering Stewardship Together for the betterment of our public lands, outdoor spaces and communities for everyone to enjoy responsibly. We do this by leading by our examples and “Education Through Action”.
We believe the best way to teach folks how to be good stewards is by showing them what a good steward looks like. And we do this by exercising the Responsible Stewardship Ethics.
These Ethics help us understand our impact (both physically and digitally) on the environment around us. And guides us in lessening our impact and those of others.
The Ethics encourages us to “Take Action” when we see a need. Whether you’re packing out litter you find on a trail, volunteering with a park or stewardship organization, advocating for the better care and treatment of public lands or donating to stewardship organizations or trail conservancies. By taking action, you are making an instant positive impact on the environment around you.
And the basis of these Ethics is the most import Ethic of all….. INTEGRITY. Using Integrity to follow all the other Ethics even when no one is watching. That’s the core value of Stewardship.
