I started backpacking at age 11 through my boy scout troop and received inspiration from my Uncle to thru hike the AT. I went on my first AT section hike at age 15 and realized that the trail life is where true freedom lies. Since then a lot has changed, but my love for the outdoors has not. On May 9th 2021 me and my lifelong friend Travis/Roosta set out to thru hike the AT. I had taught Travis most of my skills and shared my dream of being a thru hiker with him. A decision I am very glad I made. Although Travis and I had plenty of fights; we stuck with each other and completed the goal we had originally set, together.
