Jester has a chat this week with Cindy Taylor. Cindy shares with us how loss, working in healthcare during Covid, and taking care of her mental health has led to a goal of completing the GSMNP 900 Miler.
The Section Hiker Spotlight this week goes to guest Cindy Taylor. Cindy initially reached out to Jester via email to share her goal of completing all the trails in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in sections.
What you will hear is that there is so much more to her current journey than just hiking the miles. Cindy shares with us about the loss of both of her parents, working in healthcare, her own mental health, and learning to document her journey along the way.

MRI technologist by profession, Cindy has been hiking all her life, both in the Midwest and the Smoky Mountains. She occasionally drags her husband and children along, but her friends are more likely to be seen backpacking with her. When not working at the hospital or on a trail, Cindy spends her time with family, friends and her two spoiled dogs. She loves to read and write and is always up for learning new things about...well, everything.
