Love Hiking Along with Jester
I have really enjoyed listening to Jester and learning more about the Mountains To Sea Trail in NC. I also enjoy listening to the crunch of the leaves as she hikes and describes the terrain where she is hiking.

Great Resource for Backpackers!
Julie is not only a great interviewer, but she has the skills and knowledge to backup what she talks about on this podcast. Definitely one of the best backpacking podcasts there is for all things stories, gear and downright good entertainment!

Future Thru Hiker
Well, section hiking has some advantages! On top of that list: I can start now! (Not wait until I am between jobs or retire). Julie has done a great job keeping me entertained and I always learn something. My “someday” can start today! ... well, as soon as the trails open back up- I am sure that Jester will keep me updated. It’s a great show for hikers!

Thought I wanted to be a thru hiker!
I was planning a thru hike for the summer but I don’t want to be away from my family that long. This podcast has made me realize I can achieve my goals and still be there for my kids. Thank you for making my dreams come true.

Jester is a prolific section hiker and all around outdoors lover. I have section hiked with Jester and enjoyed every trip. She knows her trails and maps and gear well. She always has a laugh and a deep respect for trail life. She supports the hiking community and other hikers young and old. You can bet her guests and friends will give you valuable input with every podcast. If you want hike - through hike or section hike- you will enjoy and relate to these podcasts.

Not just for section hikers
I love this new podcast. Julie has a great interviewing style that makes me feel like I am right there in the conversation. She picks interesting guests and shares helpful tips to use on trail whether you are new to hiking or a seasoned long distance hiker. Thanks for sharing great content. I can’t wait to see where the show goes over time!

I’m not a regular hiker, but I’m really enjoying this podcast. It’s informative and educational, but the passion of the hiking community is what really stands out. The love Jester and her guests have for the trail is inspiring. It makes me want to get out there more often! Keep ‘em coming, Jester!

Amazing AT Tales and Interviews
I’ve found myself unintentionally captivated by the engaging stories told by the author (“Jester”) and her interviews with a varied who’s who of the Appalachian Trail. The laid back stories of these hikers are fun to listen to and give a glimpse into what unique adventures you can find on the trail.

Love this!
Jester does a great job of interacting with her guests and working with them to weave and travel through their stories of section hiking the trails. Her love for the trail and trail community shines through! Also love her segment with Steve K., talking gear. Even though I’ve been section hiking for 5+ years, I’m still learning a lot through that segment.
Lastly, there’s always a ton of time and space given for thru hikers to tell their stories so it’s absolutely awesome to have a space dedicated to us section hikers! Thanks Jester for an awesome podcast!
