Love, Love, Love this podcast!
The podcast is very informative and entertaining. Mighty Blue does a wonderful job of sharing his own experiences on the trail as well as carefully selecting experienced guest hikers to share their stories, tips, and advice. You won't be disappointed with this podcast. Thank you Mighty Blue for dedicating your time to this cause. My friends and I have started section hiking the AT after listening to your podcast, we may have even spotted you hiking near Erwin, Tennessee earlier this year. I look forward to a new episode each week, keep up the good work.

What a Great Podcast!
This is by far my favorite podcast. Iam almost caught up with all the episodes and I'm looking forward to new ones down the road. Steve is a great host, humble, friendly, and inspirational. The AT has been on my bucket list for some time, and Steve's podcast and books have only fanned the flames even hotter to do it before my 60th birthday. Thanks, Steve, and keep up the great work!

Great show!
Humble host, love hearing him read his book, and each episode has me wanting to go outdoors. This dude puts us younger dudes to shame. 😁🤘🏼

Informative and inspirational!
I love this podcast! I've listened to all 46 episodes & looking forward to #47! I've also read both of Steve's books (twice!), so needless to say I'm a real fan! I'm a 63 year-old man on the verge of retirement & I'm planning a thru-hike of the AT beginning in March of 2019. This podcast has been very inspirational & also very informative. After listening to these interviews, I'm convinced that I can make my hike happen & make it all the way to Katahdin! Maybe I'll make the podcast one day! Keep up the good work Steve!

Can't get enough!
One day, I had a thought, and that thought just grew and grew. I want to hike thru hike the AT. I've been given some backlash as I'm not much of a hiker, and I'm overweight. But my drive for wanting to do this thru hike just grows and grows. That's when I found your podcast, and I AM HOOKED! My confidence keeps growing, and it's because of you and your guests. I'm only 14 episodes in right now, but it's all I (and anyone who enters my vehicle) listens to. I can't wait to learn more! Thanks so much for the honest interviews.

Funny and inspirational
I only discovered this podcast about a month ago, but I've just finished episode 30 today. I find Steve's guest to be informative, and engaging. And at times very inspirational. As a 40 yr old father of 2 (under the age of 8), I find encouragement, that pushes me to better myself and to start planning my own hiking adventures, and bringing my kids along with me. At the end of each podcast, Steve reads a chapter from his books. He is very gifted writer and I find myself anxiously awaiting to hear of his next adventure on the AT. If you enjoy hiking, camping, a general love of the outdoors, or just enjoy good storytelling, Steve's books are geared toward you. Keep up the great work Steve. Cheers!

fantastic podcast
This is a great podcast for anyone interested in The AT or anyone interested in listening to people talk about fulfilling their dreams. Steve does a fantastic job in getting his guests to describe all of the facts surrounding their hike. Allows future thru hikers the opportunity to learn what it might be like if we pursue our dreams one day.

Spoonful of sugar
I'm an AT junkie but can't get out on the trail as much as I'd like. This podcast helps me stay connected and engaged with all things AT. I usually listen when I'm doing housework or gardening and the information and entertainment are the proverbial spoonful of sugar to help me through my weekly chores. It's amazing how much weeding you can get done during one single episode. Thanks Mighty Blue for helping me with my housework.

Very Inspiring!
Thanks for such a thorough and diverse podcast, Steve. We are getting ready to do section hikes and have learned so much from you and your guests about so many aspects of the hike. I always look forward to drive time in my car so I can hear what comes next!

Binge Worthy Podcast!
I found this podcast about 2 weeks ago and have already listened to every episode! I have binge-watched many series on Netflix, but this is the first podcast that I couldn't wait to listen to. I love the many different perspectives of the guests. Adding a chapter from the author's book (read by the author) is a brilliant addition to each podcast. I am a 45-yr-old section hiker from TN. I've hiked from Springer to Hot Springs so far and I'm planning to do Hot Springs to Erwin over July 4th holiday. The interview with Byron Church (Episode #35) was particularly inspiring to me. Keep up the great work and GO ADI!

Great podcast
Can't wait to hear more about the stories on the Trail. Very entertaining.

One of my favorite podcasts right now
As an individual planning his 2019 thru hike, your podcast is really getting me excited for my upcoming journey! Your books are FANTASTIC by the way.

Jasperg357
I am currently on episode 20 and I have throughly enjoyed your podcast and the interviews you have done with other hikers. I don't no what I enjoy more your interviews are when you read a chapter from your book at the end of the podcast? I am also looking forward to hearing about how Jess is doing on her thru hike and I wish her all the best on her journey.

Awesome
Love listening Steve. Taking my daughter 8 year old daughter on a three day hike on the AT in The Smokeys in a few weeks and your podcast has done a lot for two inexperienced backpackers 😀

Keep on keeping on
Planning my 2nd section hike after my the birth of my first child!! This podcast keeps me motivated!!!

Keep'em coming!
I look forward to this show every week. It's a great format because it's just about the hiker community along the AT. Mighty Blue does a great job with the interviews, he lets the interviewee speak and doesn't bombard or interrupt the interviewee. Keep this going!!

RunningArmyMom
Hi Steve!!! I am LOVING your podcast, I'm addicted and your books are being delivered today! The way you interview and the awe and compassion that you have for the people you're interviewing is wonderful! I hope you never stop! I'm hoping to hike the AT next year, I just turned 55 a new Empty Nester and Very Proud Army Mom! My hubby got me a membership to REI, to help me prepare for my hike! Your podcast is making me want to do it, even more than I already wanted to! Pleast keep up the great work and I LOVE your accent!! Much love and Admiration, Linda

Thru-Hike on my mind for 2018
Just finished listening to episode 34. I have listened to your entire podcast while hiking my local trails here in Austin over the last few weeks. Your show has been both inspirational and informative. In addition, it has paired well with some of the 2017 tubers I have been watching this year such as Early Riser and Dixie. I think a great interview would be with Early Riser. He claims to be an introvert and has commented how he deals with this issue on the trail along with the crowded shelters. In addition, Early Riser is a middle age hiker and former military which seems to give him a competitive push to hike big miles. Looking forward to you next show. Chris

Mighty Blue Keep up the good work!
I love the podcast. The fact that someone like yourself can make it from Georgia to Maine is inspirational. I hope to do the trail one of these days. Keep up the good work! PS. keep working on your boys, don't give up on them. I know I wish my dad hadn't given up on us.

Engaging!
I have very much enjoyed this podcast, hearing all the different stories. Im still catching up on episodes. I'm an avid "base camper" but hiking the AT is on my bucket list, although something I probably won't be able to do before retirement. Hope to start some section hikes. Maybe an episode on 60+ yr old women who have successfully through-hiked alone?

The double-edged sword!
I picked up your podcast on my way to lead my first section of the AT for some first time backpackers. I have been an avid backpacker/hiker for some time and am finally in a position to take others with me. As we were making our drive from Texas to Springer Mt., your words helped to fuel their excitement (as well as my own). Thanks for all your work! Although, I am now wrestling with a growing desire to consider my own long walk in the woods.

Love it.
I have followed this man since the early episodes. I feel i have walked every step with him. I don't hurt as much as he does at the end of the episode, but i've had a great hike. Love it. Learned a bunch from it for my own hiking. With 650 miles of the AzT done, i'm going for the last 150+. It's taken me 5 years to get this far due to being a bit slow. After all I'm 74. I pray the day will come when i can do a thru hike like the AT. Right now I'm looking at the CDT which passes my house only 65 miles away. Keep trudging, Might Blue.

Excellent interviewer
I think Steve is great. It's wonderful listening to the podcast evolve. New topics and interesting people. Nice job Steve you should be proud

Loving vicariously through you!
My son thru-hiked in 2016 (Tarzan- stay stoked!) and is on the trail again this year for a 40 day "vacation" so I love reading or listening to everything AT. I am thoroughly enjoying this podcast and look forward to each episode. I am happy for you, Steve, that you can still be involved with the trail in this way and wish you all the best on your hikes this summer. Thanks for bringing us (the listeners) along and making us feel part of the family too. :-)

Good Podcast
Hi Stephen, I'm writing to let you know that I really love your show. I first heard about you from Glenn the geek from the horse radio network. When you finally were on his show I decided that I just had to check out your podcast for myself. I am on episode number seven and I'm really really enjoying everyone's take on their hike of the trail. Every episode that I've listen to so far has made me want to go and hike the Appalachian Trail. Good luck and happy trails in the future.

Inspirational
I look forward to and enjoy each episode. Each listen fuels my desire to hike the AT. Excellent podcast! Thank you so much for sharing your experience and others on the AT.

Mighty Blue is Mighty Good
Having hiked The AT for 25 years and about 1,400 miles, I have grown to love AT Hiker culture. Like the famous 6 blind men trying to describe an elephant, podcasts such as Mighty Blue's are Mighty Helpful in answering the Why am I hiking this stretch of dirt question. Mighty Blue does an excellent job of telling his AT story and that of many other AT hikers. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around IronWill, an AT hikerette that completed a thru- hike with no legs. She's more of a man than I will ever be. In spite of his English accent but because of his choice of verbiage, this is a podcast well worth your time if you are hiking The AT or even considering it. Hidden Gem
Steve, it was by luck that I came across your podcast and I am so grateful! I find that not only are you a good story teller but the stories and full of great information and often times funny. I don't look forward getting to the end making me wait weekly to hear a new episode. I enjoy listening every day. I do have one question. I often hear people say " when I got my hiker legs" what the are they? Did I miss the definition in an earlier episode? Thanks again for doing what you do :) Megan

Extraordinary!!
Discovered your podcast a week or two ago. I absolutely love it!! I listened to every episode already. Without fail if I wasn't having the best day all I would have do listen to one of your episodes to cheer me up. Just finished your last one today and I really don't know how I will wait till the next episode is released. Your British terms crack me up!! Love it! You have an EXTRAORDINARY podcast. It's FANTASTIC. Your a BLOODY great BLOKE. Keep up the good work. CHEERS

Brings Back Good Memories
I feel like I'm hiking the trail again when I listen to this podcast. I enjoy how honest Mighty Blue is about his life both on and off of the trail. Keep them coming. I will keep listening. Trail Name: Coal Furnance
