"It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas"
Spring appears to be constantly derailed by late winter blasts on the Appalachian Trail this year but Bruce's spirit remains high. The two of us caught up twice this week, and by the second time he had reached Pearisburg.
Each week I've been noticing that his confidence has grown and he has come through his baptism of snow with a renewed enthusiasm.
Bruce visited the Woods Hole Hostel, a place that I missed but one around which he deliberately planned his trip. He wasn't disappointed by what he found.
